Although I'm often very sad that we don't live closer to our families (obviously this was our choice by deciding to stay in Southampton) but I take a lot of solace in the fact we don't live too far away and we can make special memories for our family.
With the Easter break and my sisters wedding, we decided to spend the entire long weekend at Dann's parents house.
It's fast becoming one of our favourite places, and I just know Henry and any future littles are going to make so many memories here.
We had lots of sunshine of the Easter break (makes a nice change for a Bank Holiday weekend) so got outside for a bit. I'm not going to lie, Ninny's (Henrys Nan, Dann's mum) has the best garden, and it's gotten me very excited for getting ours done asap so Henry can play outside more, because he adored exploring, and checking out the chickens.
Some photos of our afternoon in the garden sun with dogs and chickens!
Bob only has one eye after unfortunately losing one last year to Glaucoma, but he is 100% Henry's favourite. And I kind of love Henry even more for this. I know he has zero understanding of Bob being a bit different, but it makes me so happy to see that it makes no difference to Henry what he looks like, he loves him regardless, and I think it's a lesson we could all learn from, and something I hope stays with Henry for his lifetime.
My favourite of the MANY chicken ornaments and signs around the house and garden!
